Then we started learning about verbs in the PAST tense.   Most of the work for this was done in our white "perfect tense" booklet.  Make sure you have it (with your answers written in) for revision.  Some notes and exercises on the past tense below:

3rd Form French Unit 2

Use the following exercise to test yourself on the French for leisure activities.   The answers will be in the INFINITIVE form each time.

Remember you can combine these activities with "je vais", "nous allons" etc to say what you are GOING TO DO in the future.  E.g. je vais jouer au foot = I am GOING TO PLAY football.

You can also use them after the verb "pouvoir"  to say what you CAN do e.g. on peut visiter un musée = one CAN visit a museum.  Je peux aller en ville = I CAN go into town.

GCSE Revision Advice and Past Papers

Use the vocabulary booklet to revise as much vocabulary as possible. Focus your attention on words you don't know/remember (highlight them), topics which are less familiar (perhaps because it is some time since you studied that topic) and false friends.

You should also work through the "Reading Improvement" booklet which was given out in class shortly before the Easter holidays.

There are some past papers below. You can also access revision material on the school's Modern Languages website www.mcsmodlangs.org/extra

To access the listening papers you should download the question papers for a particular year (the question papers will include reading comprehension papers and listening transcript). Each year has the audio file you need for the listening. Marking schemes for each year can also be downloaded so that you can check your answers. You want the STANDARD GRADE papers at CREDIT LEVEL.
